Lunar 100 planner
The Lunar 100 is a carefully chosen list of one hundred Moon features, ranging from easy naked-eye and binocular sights to subtle telescopic challenges. Curated by planetary scientist Charles A. Wood, it encourages observers to explore the Moon in more detail across its changing phases, highlighting craters, mountains, maria, and other geological features such as rilles, domes, rays and scarps. Whether you are just starting out or looking for a structured observing challenge, the Lunar 100 is an excellent way to get to know our nearest celestial neighbour.
Use the filters to show features matched to the current lunar age, or browse the whole Lunar 100 list. Age matching uses the waxing and waning observing windows in the Lunar 100 duplex table.
