About the Society |
Blackpool & District Astronomical Society was formed in October 1986 by a few keen local amateur astronomers. The society is growing and now has around twenty members, with a wide cross section from novices to experienced observers. We offer advice including what type of equipment to buy and how to use it. We encourage beginners and new members to learn from our more experienced members Meetings are friendly and informal and all are welcome to attend. It should be noted that access to the meeting room is via a fairly steep staircase and there is unfortunately no provision for wheelchair access. |
